The Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains, part of Mara Plains Camp, is hidden away in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, offering an incredible 40,000 hectares of private traversing land.
This 2-bedroomed Suite fits into our highest luxury African safari camp level offering, the Great Plains Conservation Réserve-Collection of camps.
The Suite offers guests a private, intimate stay with incredible views of the conservancy and all of the wildlife that inhabits it.
Leading off the private decking, a private swimming pool is available for you to enjoy during the warm afternoons. The sweeping canvas roof shaded by the large trees offers the perfect setting to relax and connect with nature.
When residing at The Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains, guests automatically enjoy the services of a private butler, safari drive vehicle and wildlife guide.
In the main camp area of Mara Plains Camp, an easy walk away, guests can visit the bush boutique for retail therapy.

The 2-bedroomed, private Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains is the epitome of a private Kenya safari and is perfect for those seeking the ultimate experience on their Maasai Mara adventure.
Guests enter The Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains through beautifully carved, ancient Zanzibari doors, which lead into a central private lounge and dining area. Two large, expansive guest bedrooms flank this central area. Each bedroom has a walk-through wardrobe, double basins, a private toilet, an indoor shower and a brass bath. There is a ceiling fan over the expansive beds and a writing desk where guests can capture their thoughts and inspirations during their stay with us.
A private, wrap-around verandah with seating and a private swimming pool leads out from the central area.

The private Olare Motorgi Conservancy lies on the northern boundary of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve. Guests of Mara Plains Camp and the private Jahazi Suite at Mara Plains are the only ones with access to wildlife viewing in this private conservancy, the Maasai Mara National Reserve, and the private Mara North Conservancy!
Mara Plains is a sanctuary for resident wildlife species, including many of the Maasai Mara’s 300 bird species. After dark, larger mammals frequent the camp, and Maasai warriors keep a watchful eye out while guests sleep.

The rains in the Masai Mara cause fast-flowing rivers, often cutting off communities from schools, clinics, markets and more. In the rainy season, children would miss school because the water levels were too dangerous to cross, setting them back in their education.
